After the crowded Police concert of last night, I stayed in and had a relaxing evening tonight. I cooked up some veggies for dinner and had a glass of a cool, sweet, white wine. Later, I went to the grocery store to get a couple things: banana cream pudding and cool whip, so that I could make a banana cream pie. When I got back, I found a chick flick, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," on TV and set to making the pie. A movie and an episode of "Sex and the City" later, I had firm banana cream pudding with bananas and soft cool whip spread on top, and I was in summer bliss, devouring a delicious piece of pie. There's nothing like a yummy slice of pie to put a smile on your face.
