decoration-less?
I took down all of my holiday decorations the other day and my place feels sort of sad and empty now. Although, in actuality, the decorations clutter things. I'm always torn about the holiday decorations anyway. First of all, I don't celebrate Christmas. I grew up with all of the decorations at home, though, and there's something home-y about having them up. It adds to the spirit of the season for me. Second, the decorations take up a lot of space. I'm lucky to have a storage locker in the basement of my building where I can stash everything, but it seems like a waste to only bring them out for about one month of the year and then push them all back in the locker. Third, the decorations themselves are totally unnecessary, in the sense that their creation harms the environment and they are essentially, seasonal dust collectors. Pretty ones, but still dust collectors. Things to consider.
