I think Chicago has gotten more snow so far this winter than in past winters. There haven't been any major storms, but there has just been fairly consistent snowfall. My first day back to school this week was welcomed in with three inches of snow. It flurried for a while again today, but I think that the shop owners decided they weren't going to shovel anymore and that they were going to save their salt for some more serious snow. Even the CTA is in (or out) on it. None of the stairs up to the El platforms were shoveled in the least. I'm not okay with that...please at least shovel. I fell the other night in front my own building because someone was not up to shoveling. I even had my boots on! It's just that the stone in front of my building gets slippery easily. Okay, so that's my mini rant. Thanks for reading.I also just want to say that the set-up/construction for the Hubbard Street Dance event in Crown Hall this Friday is looking fabulous. I feel bad for that studio group, which has had to work so hard over the break, but I think it will be an absolutely beautiful event.
