winter chills

Last night on my way home I was nearly blown off of the El platform by a snowy gust. Then my toes went numb waiting for the bus...I had just missed one by probably twenty seconds. I was much happier once I had feeling in my toes again and the guy on the bus ride home who was texting and asked his friend how to spell "atrocious" made me smile inside.

I've just had a bowl of oatmeal and I'm drinking some nice warm tea. I thought I'd check the forecast to see what's in store for today, but now I just want to stay inside all day. The forecast: 1 degree with a wind chill of -21 degrees. The Chicago Tribune is reporting -25 to -35 degrees with the wind chill. Brr!

I've never seen snow in my life! Here in India, there are very few places you can actually get to see snow (only up in the Himalayas). But your account of the cold was truly numbing! (I mean that in a good way.) I wish you warmer times ahead.
